An important part of the Shorebase are the clubs that are based here.
There are sailing,
canoeing and windsurfing clubs affiliated to the Shorebase.
Coquet Windsurfing
Club provides recreational windsurfing opportunities for
all members of the local community. We operate at two levels one for
adults and one for children (RYA T15 Club).
The Club provides supervised windsurfing and equipment for the use of
its membership at affordable prices, making the club unique in the
region, allowing access to windsurfing for those in the community who
do not have their own equipment, using Ladyburn Lake, Druridge Bay
Country Park and the occasional coastal venue.
The Club is open to everyone, supports
people’s desire to windsurf at the level that suits them, and gives
them the opportunities and training to expand their abilities.
The T15 Club, the Coquet Crushers, is a very active and friendly
windsurfing club for
the under 15s. There is training and competitions organised by the
regional RYA T15 clubs
A comprehensive Club programme is available for both adults and juniors.
