The Shorebase now has a full-time Community Watersports Development
Officer.
This position
is being supported by Sport England, Leader + Northumberland and the
Northern
Rock Foundation.
This will allowed us to build on our community work undertaken during
the past few years.
In the last 12 months CST have worked with a wide cross section of the
community
including schools, disability groups, community groups and youth
organisations.
Future plans are to continue work with these groups and to extend our
work
to more women and girls, and people who are out of work.
Also, in conjunction with Sports Coach UK, our club coaches are being
developed.
This will mean the very best possible standards for our existing club
members
as well as all our new members as more people become addicted to
watersports.
