Fun and exciting,
school holiday activities for children aged 8 to 16.
The activities are fun for kids and something different for them to do.
All session are open to all abilities from beginners to those with some experience and even those just wanting to have a go and see if they want to do more.
Canoeing, kayaking, sailing and windsurfing activities are available throughout the school summer holidays.
We provide all equipment, including wet suits, buoyancy aids and cagoules.
All kids need to bring is a swimsuit, trainers that they don’t mind getting wet and a towel.
So why not give them a treat this summer.
Where does it happen
All activities take place on Ladyburn Lake at Druridge Bay Country Park, which is around a 40 minute drive from Newcastle and Tyneside.
At the side of the lake we have a purpose built building with changing rooms and showers as well as equipment storage.
Tuesdays: 10am–12.30pm and 1–3.30pm
24th July and all Tuesdays in August
We have a variety of windsurfers available to suit all ages and abilities of children and youths
Wednesdays: 10am–12.30pm and 1–3.30pm
25th July and all Wednesdays in August
Canoes, kayaks, sit-on top canoes and stand up paddleboards (SUPs) are used during these sessions. We ensure that the craft used matches the ability and size of the child.
Thursdays: 10am–12.30pm and 1–3.30pm
26th July, all Thursdays in August
Our sailing sessions are generally carried out using RS Tera and RS Quba sailing dinghies. We also have 1 and 2 person Hansa access sailing boats. For teenagers with suitable experience we have 2 RS Fevas and a Dart catamaran.

The cost is the same for any activity
All sessions cater for a mix of abilities.
If days are over subscribed, we will offer activities on other days of the week as well.
