The Coquet Shorebase runs a wide variety of water based activities and courses. We also run some none water based activities too. We are an inclusive organisation which prides itself on its role in widening participation to all members of the community.
We are an RYA Training Centre and a British Canoeing Delivery Partner. We hold an AALA licence for watersports (canoe/ kayak, SUP, sailing, windsurfing and improvised rafting).
As we are a charity the money that we make from our various courses is used to help fund our charitable activities.
We cater for all ages from 8 years old upwards. There are opportunities for under 8’s but only when a parent/guardian accompanies them on the water.
For those with mobility issues, disabled people and wheel chair users, we have a wide range of boats and equipment to enable them to take part in activities. At our Druridge Bay Country Park base, we have a hoist to enable those with severe mobility impairment to access sailing boats or canoes. Both our sites have a disability changing room that include a changing bench and wheelchair accessible shower area.
We offer activities and courses in the following water based pursuits, just click on a pursuit to read more about it.
Canoeing and Kayaking
Sportsboats, RIB and Powerboats
The CST also runs activities and course for groups, from school and youth groups to company days out and team building. We can tailor the activities your groups needs and requirements. We offer excellent value for money and have very competitive pricing. Also, any surplus we make is used to help fund our charitable activities.
Call us to discuss your groups needs and what it will cost.
We also occasionally run first aid courses. The course that we generally offer is the RYA First Aid Course, but we can run other courses. We are happy to run a course specifically for your School, organisation or company.
