Activities for Schools and Groups

Whatever your group is – cubs, scouts, schools, birthday parties, stag/hen parties, works days out, or just family and friends – we can tailor an activity for you.

It might just be a fun session, or skills training / group ‘bonding’ / teamwork or problem solving or maybe just building up water confidence or teaching water safety.

Activities can include improvised raft building, group use of our big SUP, sit on top kayaks, sailing, etc. You can also mix and match. Wetsuits are provided, and there are showers and changing facilities.

Schools and youth groups: we usually split the group into two, and they have 50 mins in sit-on-top kayaks and 50 mins on the big Stand up Paddleboards, swapping over half way through the session. It’s a lot of fun, really boosts water confidence and emphasizes teamwork and helping others.

Families and mixed ability groups: Not everyone wants to leap into the water! We can put a range of craft out – paddle boards, sit on top kayaks, open canoes, even Access sailing dinghies, and group members can try any of them at their own pace. Instructors will be there to offer instruction and safety cover, but not to run a structured group activity session.

As we are a charity the money that we make from our various courses is used to help fund our charitable activities.

We hold an AALA licence and are approved as watersports providers by British Canoeing and the RYA.
