It’s all about having fun on the water, making friends, learning new skills and improving existing ones.
Providing the weather cooperates then we hope to offer windsurfing and sailing sessions for young people over the coming half term week
We’ve got a mix of sailing dinghies including Access dinghies (which can’t capsize), There is always something to suit all abilities, and our instructors will help you get the most out of the session.
Complete beginner through to improver sessions, our easy to use fun WindSup boards make mastering the basics and learning to windsurf “a breeze”. Participants will need to be water confident as a fair amount of falling in generally occurs at the early stages of learning.
All the activities take place at our base by the Visitor Centre at Druridge Bay Country Park with heated changing rooms and hot showers .
You’ll be issued with a wetsuit (you can bring your own if you have one), and PPE suitable for the conditions. Though the water temperature is still relatively warm at the this time of year, it is recommended participants bring along thermal layers to wear under wetsuits and wind proofs, a thermal or fleece top will keep you warmer if it is cool and windy.
Warm hats, gloves and suitable footwear are also highly recommended whilst out on the water.

You can book for a morning Windsurfing , or for the whole day for sailing sessions (supervision is provided over lunch time).
Every session can have a mix of beginners and those with experience, and we tailor the activities to the group and weather conditions on the day, so everyone benefits.
Only suitable for ages from 10 yrs upwards this time of year.
